I went Toyo university on foot without train car from Itabashi ward to Bunkyo ward singing,
"Under the Tokyo roof"
everyday.
When I sang that song, People called me and said,
"Hey young boy, sing me the song more."
I answered,
"Yes."
And sang.
After the song, people gave me big applause.
They became my friends.
From next day, we said,
"Good morning young man"
"Good morning nice people."
We vowed each other everyday.
Even though more than forty years passed,
I remember the good experience clearly.
Oh my good university student days, never come again.

"Under the Tokyo roof."
Japanese American Kathuhiko Haida sang in 1948.
At that time Tokyo wan't recover.
People lived poor daily life.
But this song gave them The big dream and the big hope.
My father loved this song.
So I knew this song even though old song.
Just I was a freshman in Toyo University in 1972,
I went Toyo university singing"Under the Tokyo roof."
The song means,
"I'm very happy. I can live under the Tokyo roof. Many dream here."
I always sing this song. Because this song always gives me the big power.

When I was a freshman of Toyo university, Tokyo metropolitan city became from Tokyo in Japan
to Tokyo in the world.
Tokyo had a big power and a big dream.
People of Tokyo metropolitan city was so nice.
They are always kind to others.
Culture of Tokyo was sometimes new and sometimes old.
New people of Tokyo created new culture like the big waves.
People of Tokyo metropolitan city loved Tokyo so much.
Each town of Tokyo had own culture.
I always said, "I'm very happy to live in Tokyo. I can make a happy life."

In the year 1972, when I was a fresh man of Toyo university in Japan.
T.V. show opened 24 hours each T.V. station in Tokyo.
"Tokyo is a big city. A lot of people never sleep in the night."
I thought at that time.
T.V. show of Almost local cities in Japan closed at midnight.
I love the old movie theater of T.V. show after midnight.
"Western movies, Love stories, Horror stories."
I remember those movies still now even though more than 40 years passed.
"I wanna make my good love story."
I thought that eagerly at that time.
My freshman of university student days are very funny good days.

I shouted so everyday.
"Tokyo is splendid metropolitan city. But too many people. So crowded."

But everyday's experience is fresh and nice.
"I can make good memories my university student days absolutely."
I believed so.
Even though to get train car isn't easy. So hard boy, my daily life was so happy.
My university student days begins to April 1972.
